Danny Gatton Will Have You For Lunch--Les Paul

Hendrix, Clapton, Page, Eddie Van Halen and Stevie Ray Vaughan are the first names to come up when discussing the greatest guitar players but according to Les Paul, Danny Gatton might just be the name at the top of that list. Known as "The Humbler" Danny Gatton was shredding before that term was ever associated with a guitar. He committed suicide on October 4, 1994., a month after his 49th birthday. Gatton combined blues, rockabilly, jazz and country to create a sound he called "Redneck Jazz."
