Market Rasen Walk: Town Centre【4K】

Located in the county of Lincolnshire, and around 15 miles northeast of Lincoln, is the town of Market Rasen. Geographically, Market Rasen is situated at the western fringe of the Lincolnshire Wolds, with the River Rase running through it, just a few miles from its source. In 1219 it was granted a market charter, around which point it was renamed from East Rasen to Market Rasen. At the heart of the town is the Parish Church of St Thomas. This dates back to the 12th century with additions up to the 15th century and some 19th century restoration. In 1848 the railway arrived in Market Rasen courtesy of the Great Grimsby and Sheffield Junction Railway. The station of today is situated on the Grimsby–Lincoln–Newark Line. In 1973 Elton John released the song Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting.
