Hobbies, Not Homework | Knitting, Reading, Vinyl & My Tiny Garden Era
Today’s video is a cozy little reset with the hobbies I keep coming back to knitting, reading, vinyl, and my tiny garden era.
I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to turn even the things we love into another form of self-improvement. Reading becomes a goal. Knitting becomes progress. Gardening becomes research. And suddenly the hobbies that were supposed to make life feel softer start feeling like homework.
So this week, I’m trying to let my hobbies be hobbies again.
No pressure to master everything.
No need to monetize every quiet thing.
No dramatic transformation montage.
Just yarn, books, records, plants, coffee, and the gentle reminder that being bad at something still counts as doing it.
This is a slower, more casual video part cozy hobby reset, part quiet life check-in, part “jack of all trades, master of none, but emotionally attached to all of them.”
Thanks for spending time with me 🤍
