USTA Eastern 2025 BVI, Adaptive, Wheelchair Training

USTA Eastern co-hosted an all-day Blind & Visually Impaired (BVI), Adaptive and Wheelchair Tennis Training with the Cary Leeds Tennis Center for Tennis and Learning in Bronx, N.Y. on November 1, 2025. This training was delivered to tennis coaches who wanted to upskill — many had little to no formal experience with these specialized techniques! Our presenters included: Aki Wolfson from Commonpoint Queens, a leading wheelchair tennis coach Lisa Pugliese-LaCroix, founder of Love Serving Autism Jennifer K Roth, PhD, founder of U.S. Blind Tennis Association This video was created by USTA Eastern, the governing body of tennis in the Eastern Section, which includes New York State, as well as parts of New Jersey and Connecticut.
