OH v. Matthew Exton — Lawyer Accused of Trying to Kill Wife — Full Opening Statement

Ohio lawyer Matthew Exton is accused of attempting to kill his estranged wife and her parents at the grand opening of a restaurant on April 11, 2025. Prosecutor Rose Mary Mock told jurors Exton entered the restaurant with a loaded gun and described the potential tragedy that was averted when a waiter tackled and disarmed him. The defense argued the estranged couple was involved in a dispute over property and said video footage will show a different version of what happened.
