Bergen County has some of the best public schools in New Jersey, but not all districts are the same. In this video I rank the top 10 school districts in Bergen County based on real data. Niche ratings, average SAT scores, AP course offerings, student to teacher ratios, graduation rates, and college readiness scores. I also factor in what I see as a local realtor: which towns buyers with kids are targeting first, what homes actually cost in each district, and what the commute and lifestyle look like. This is not just a list. I walk through what makes each district unique, where it lands in state and national rankings, what the local elementary and middle schools feed into each high school, and what your dollar gets you in each town. If you are moving to Bergen County or relocating within New Jersey and schools are your priority, this is the breakdown you need. How I ranked them: I used Niche 2026 grades and rankings as the baseline, then pulled in high school SAT averages and AP participation rates from public data, factored in parent reviews and student outcomes, and compared all of that against what I know from showing homes in every one of these towns. The ranking is not just test scores. It is the full picture of what it is like to raise a family there. What the video covers for each town: The school district profile, the Niche grade, state and national ranking, standout programs and AP offerings. Then I connect it to the real estate. What the town is actually like to live in, what home prices look like, the commute, the downtown, the lot sizes, and who the town is best for.
