Sometimes we just need to be held whether we want to admit it or not. Sometimes we get weary of life and need a space where we don't have to carry our own weight for a little while.
This song was inspired by my magical fantasy world I have created to be a safe place where needs can be met where they might not be met in the real world. In this magical world is a giant Sasquatch keeper of the ancient wild, Kamooh, whose safe, steady presence is calming once travelers get past their fright when they happen to find themselves in his presence. Kamooh was inspired by a real life Sasquatch individual named Kamooh who is mentioned in the Sasquatch Message to Humanity Series. This is a song I imagine Kamooh singing to me when I come to him after a busy day, weary and overwhelmed, and he picks me up as a little child and holds me close in his strong arms and sings over me. And for just a little while, I am safe and held and cared for. It is my desire that this song could be a blessing to others as well.
Lyrics(written with Chatgpt):
Little heart, you have carried enough.
Little heart, you have walked so far.
You followed the roads with a bundle of dreams,
And you found your way home by the stars.
Lay down the weight you were never meant to hold.
Let the rivers carry what you cannot keep.
The forest will whisper your name tonight,
And the earth will sing you to sleep.
You do not have to climb every mountain.
You do not have to shine every day.
Even the tallest trees rest in winter.
Even the rivers slow on their way.
Come rest beneath the ancient branches.
Come breathe with the moss and stone.
The world does not need you to hurry.
You are loved before you have grown.
Little heart, I have seen all your journeys.
I have seen every step that you made.
The courage you carried, the kindness you gave,
The dreams you protected along the way.
And if the tears come, let them come, little heart.
You don't have to hide them here.
I will hold you while they fall.
You don't have to be brave with me.
You don't have to finish anything.
You don't have to prove you are enough.
You don't have to earn these arms around you.
You have always been worthy of love.
Come rest in the arms of the mountain.
Come rest in the arms of the trees.
You are not a burden to those who love you.
You are a gift carried gently in peace.
Tomorrow may call you to wander.
Tomorrow may ask you to grow.
But tonight you are held in the quiet,
Where the softest winds know your soul.
So sleep, little heart, beneath moonlight.
Let the night keep watch where you lay.
You have done enough for this moment.
You are safe. You are home. You can stay.
Little heart, you have carried enough.
Little heart, you have walked so far.
Close your eyes beneath my branches.
Remember how precious you are.
I've got you.
You can let go.
You are home.
