What does it truly mean to "move in the Spirit"? In this teaching from Salt and Light Community Church, we look past emotional hype, consumerism, and common misconceptions to discover what scripture actually says about the person and work of the Holy Spirit.
Living in the Spirit isn’t about striving for spiritual power or chasing a quota of miracles—it’s about conscious dependence, humility, and walking in daily obedience to Christ.
Key points in this message:
A person, not a force: The Holy Spirit is God dwelling within us to guide, convict, teach, and point us directly to Jesus.
Walking in the Spirit vs. the flesh: We are no longer bound by condemnation or rigid rule-keeping; we are empowered from the inside out to live in love and wisdom.
Submitting instead of striving: God doesn't force our obedience. Moving in the Spirit requires seeking His presence, expecting Him to work, and responding when He leads.
Gifts are for service, not status: Spiritual gifts are distributed by the Spirit as He wills for the common good and unity of the church, not for spiritual ego or power-scaling.
The true evidence of the Spirit: The clearest sign of a Spirit-filled life isn't hype or platform, but love, humility, and the fruit of the Spirit shown toward others.
