Can you have shalom while something in your life is still genuinely hard? I think we can quietly start measuring peace by how well things are going around us. Then, when the problem doesn’t go away, the answer doesn’t come, or we are still hurting, we begin wondering whether something is wrong with us spiritually. But Yahusha says something really important in John 16:33: “In me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble.” He puts peace and trouble in the same sentence. In this video, we’re looking at what that means when life is still difficult. We’ll talk about why pain does not automatically mean Yahuah has abandoned you, why you do not have to pretend something doesn’t hurt to have shalom, and how easily suffering can begin making conclusions for us that Scripture never gave us. Scriptures: John 16:29–33, Psalm 23:4, 2 Corinthians 4:8–9 This conversation grew out of my 30-day Scripture study, Seeking Shalom.
