What is the Church actually supposed to do, and who gets to decide? In Episode 13 of Sidewalk Sessions, Pastor Sean and Coach Turner continue through Galatians 2:1–10, where Paul takes a stand to defend the truth of the Gospel. With false teachers attempting to add religious requirements to salvation, Paul makes one thing clear: Jesus is enough. We discuss why sound doctrine matters, how legalism undermines grace, and why Gospel unity doesn’t require uniformity. In the second half, we continue our series on Sphere Sovereignty, focusing on the Church’s God-given mission and authority. Jesus established His Church to proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, worship, and care for His people. But what happens when the Church begins taking on responsibilities that belong to the family or government? We tackle some important questions: Should the Church engage in politics? Where does pastoral authority end? How should Christians respond when government oversteps its authority? And how can churches remain faithful to their mission without withdrawing from the culture? The takeaway: The Church doesn’t get to invent its mission. Jesus already gave us one. We don’t need the Church to become the government, a political party, or a social organization. We need the Church to faithfully be the Church. #SidewalkSessions #Church242 #Galatians #Galatians2 #TheGospelOnTrial #SphereSovereignty #TheChurch #BiblicalWorldview #ChristianityAndCulture #ChurchAndState #ChristianLiving #Discipleship #ChristianPodcast
