Route on komoot: https://www.komoot.com/tour/2579567311 Last time in Porto we crossed over from Vila Nova de Gaia, taking the cable car down to the riverside, strolling past wine cellars, sardine shops and the famous Ribeira district, before ending at São Bento station. This time, however, our walk was focused on exploring more of Porto itself. We started with a long-awaited visit to Livraria Lello (this time with pre-booked tickets at 13:30, since on our first trip we didn’t know they had to be bought in advance), and from there we wandered through the city — from Clérigos Tower with its 360° views to markets, squares, churches and hidden alleys — discovering Porto in greater depth. And yet, the city is full of little streets and corners still to explore, so this won’t be our last Porto video. • Rua dos Carmelitos – street by Livraria Lello. • Livraria Lello – Porto’s famous Neo-Gothic bookshop. • Passeio dos Clérigos – promenade near Clérigos. • Torre dos Clérigos – baroque bell tower with art exhibition and historic pipe organs. • Miradouro dos Clérigos – 360° city view from the tower. • Jardim da Cordoaria – historic garden with sculptures. • Igreja do Carmo & Carmelitas – twin churches with azulejo tiles. • Fonte dos Leões & University of Porto – lion fountain and university arches with planet installations. • Praça de D. João I – square with two equestrian statues Os Corcéis. • Mercado do Bolhão – traditional market of Porto. • Rua de Santa Catarina – main shopping street (Capela das Almas, Café Majestic, Fábrica da Nata). • Praça da Batalha & Igreja de Santo Ildefonso – square and tiled church, passing Time Out Market. • Rua das Flores – pedestrian street with shops and music. • Rua Afonso Martins Alho – The Cat mural – famous blue cat street art. • Rua do Souto (passing Escadas da Sé) – historic narrow street with the stairway Escadas da Sé leading down to Ribeira. • Ponte Luís I – Upper Level – iconic bridge with metro and panoramic views.
