Breaking Barriers: Gender & Environmental Justice in ASEAN

The climate crisis does not affect everyone equally. Women, girls, and LGBTQIA+ communities bear a disproportionate burden — yet they are also among the most powerful defenders of environmental rights across Southeast Asia. In this webinar, co-organised by the Asian Research Institute for Environmental Law (ARIEL) and the Asia Pacific Network of Environmental Defenders (APNED), we examine gender injustice amid the climate crisis, explore feminist and gender-transformative solutions, and identify policies for advancing environmental and gender justice in ASEAN.
