In September 1950 Meyer Lansky paid a 2,000 dollar gambling fine in Fort Lauderdale, then went back to walking his dog on Collins Avenue. From a race track on Bird Road to the Biltmore in Coral Gables, Capone's house on Palm Island, the carpet joints of Hallandale, the bolita rooms of Ybor City and the Fontainebleau suite where the CIA met the Mafia, these are ten places you can still drive past, with names and dates from Senate testimony and court records.
