2025 National Human Development Report Launch

The 2025 Human Development Report (HDR), titled “A Matter of Choice: People and Possibilities in the Age of AI,” was officially launched on 6 March 2025 in Brussels. A national launch followed in Eswatini on 22 May at the University of Eswatini, facilitated by the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development in collaboration with UNDP. The event provided an opportunity for national stakeholders to engage with the report’s findings and recommendations, fostering dialogue on human development and encouraging the continued participation of all sectors in advancing human development in the country. The report presents a roadmap aimed at inspiring both the general public and policymakers to harness digital technologies in support of human well-being. Key among its messages is the call to leverage digital advancements to expand human capabilities and adopt policies that empower individuals to exercise agency in the digital era.
