NARA, OSAKA & KYOTO/ DRIVE OR BULLET TRAIN? Join us on our 2-day weekend road trip from Yokohama area to NARA, OSAKA and KYOTO! We decided to DRIVE instead of taking the bullet train- and what an adventure it turned out to be! We enjoyed beautiful views of Mt. Fuji along the way and stopped at Japan’s convenient highway rest for food, rest and , of course , the super clean toilets! NARA Nara Park had been on our bucket list for a long time, and we finally made it! Seeing the famous deer roaming freely and coming right up to people was such an amazing experience. OSAKA Next stop was the bright and VERY crowded Dotonbori! We checked out the famous canal and boat rides, tried Andrew’s Egg Tart, enjoyed a small steakhouse and of course- we couldn’t leave Osaka without eating TAKOYAKI! KYOTO The next morning, we explored beautiful Ninensaka, browses the souvenirs shop and food spots, and visited the famous traditional-style Starbucks! We continuef uphill to Kiyomizu-dera before heading to Arashiyama. ARASHIYAMA We finished our Kyoto adventure with a rickshaw ride through the beautiful bamboo forest and enjoyed the scenery around the river before beginning our long drive home. DRIVING OR BULLET TRAIN? Driving gaves us the freedom to stop, eat, rest and enjoy the scenery- but we also had to pay for the gas, highway tolls and parking. And we hit some serious traffic on the way home. The bullet train is faster and more ralaxing, but when you’re traveling with family or larger group, driving can make a lot sense because everyone shares the cost. So what YOU choose? DRIVE or BULLET TRAIN? Let us know in the comments! 👍Like if you enjoyed our road trip ❤️SUBSCRIBE for more adventures around Japan and beyond. #japarRoadTrip #Nara #kyoto #arashiyama #shinkansen
