Because apparently, getting from the UK to Bangladesh in a normal, straightforward way was just far too easy. 😏 What should have been a simple journey somehow turned into a 37-hour transportation marathon, where I managed to experience practically every mode of transport known to mankind. 🚗🚆🚌✈️ The adventure began at Heathrow, where I was already mentally preparing myself for the long journey ahead. The first flight was a dream. ✈️😌 The plane was practically EMPTY. And naturally, I took full advantage of the situation. 🤭 Suddenly, I wasn’t an economy passenger anymore. In my head, I had somehow upgraded myself to CEO of the Aircraft. 😌✈️ Plenty of space. Empty seats. No one is invading my personal bubble. No fighting for the armrest. No awkward shoulder-to-shoulder situation. I was stretched out like I had personally paid for the entire aircraft. ☺️ I was basically thinking: “Yes, this is exactly how I imagined flying.” 😌 Of course, the universe noticed I was enjoying myself and decided I was getting far too comfortable. And then came the almost 12-HOUR TRANSIT. 😭 Almost twelve hours!!! At that point, I wasn’t travelling anymore — I was basically temporarily relocating to the airport. 😂 I had enough time to learn the terminal layout, make friends with the charging points and start considering whether Heathrow should become my new postcode. 🫠 Enter… THE FINAL FLIGHT. 🫠✈️ FULL…PACKED. ZERO— ABSOLUTELY ZERO PERSONAL SPACE.😭 After experiencing the luxury of an almost-empty plane, this felt like being transported directly from a five-star hotel into a sardine tin. The person next to me had become my new permanent neighbour. The person in front of me had apparently moved into my living room. And my legroom? Let’s just say my knees and the seat in front of me were having a very close and emotionally complicated relationship. 🫩 At that stage, I simply gave up. No complaints. No expectations. No thoughts. Just switched off, stared into the distance and accepted my fate. 😌 “Right. Whatever happens now, happens. Just get me to Bangladesh.” 🇧🇩❤️ And so, after 37 HOURS of travelling by car 🚗, coach 🚍, train 🚆, bus 🚌 and multiple planes ✈️, I finally made it! Was it exhausting?— Absolutely. Was it chaotic? — Without question.
