Here are the notes for the match (visibly, I wrote these during the playtime, so if you want the thoughts in real-time watch the video, this transcript is for reference):
Hello this game I am playing as nightreaper. This is the map Bloodlands. The game world rolled a bloodlands with a ton of holey bases (3+ entrance) and some worldspawn goldmines. I put my goldmining town hall down and decided I did not want to play the big double entry base; my favorite equatorial pointman base was available with its 'workshop end' in the back. The whole strategy revolves around getting two workshops and a castle in that end part of the base at the center of the match's minimap.
this move from the big double wide two entrance base to the pointman base made sense and really worked out because I had that early gold mine to float early game re-rolls to get my economy going. I even got to build an early Workshop thanks to the worldspawn goldmine.
now I am working up a skimpy defense for a dragon roost build. My tactic was to get ice dragons and some speed auras in order to apply a lot of cryoaffinity - slowing down incoming damage from the hordes of cutelings and bosslings by stacking cryo affinity and a base can carry on against stronger lings for longer.
I quickly found three Dragons Roosts this game - only 140 rerolls in - and had the gold to place these strategic center pieces.
The rest of my base is barebones - I had a priority on Drain Towers in order that Suffuse would benefit my long-term defense. Enchanted walls to help moonwells build up energy (because moonwells do not have to heal 1000+ shield damage every wave of lings, the moonwells use less mana during repeated fighting during mid-game).
Now I finally had some enemy hordelings destroy my first Town Hall - 27 minutes into the game there - and I immediately built Town Hall and upgraded to Keep. This leads to the upgrade to Frost Dragons.
That 3rd Dragon's Roost actually does not work in this base. This is because those Dragons emerging from the roost placed against the wall catch vision of incoming cutelings and fights ensue on the side of the base. Whereas I want all fighting to happen at the chokepoint in order to reduce the time cutelings have to attack my walls.
I note a few things as the game ends.
1. This build's DPS comes from Tower and Units. Both Tower and Unit DMG need to be upgraded for maximum effectiveness.
2. This build as presented really had low DPS. In this case, I did not upgrade Unit DMG. Dragons Roost x2 was able to do a lot more damage than it ended up doing.
3. Dragon's Roost here in the build as depicted - basically maximizing Damage Aura and filling Moonwells along the bottom of the base for end-game - this build's otherwise low DPS is going to improve 10x by switching from Frost Dragons to Fire Dragons, and including upgrade Unit DMG (despite the expense penalty of upgrading Tower DMG + Unit DMG!).
Overall this match was fun to play out and all of my tricks for the pointman base in Bloodlands were on display - good luck, have fun.
