The 2027 Mitsubishi ASX VR-e is here — a compact, five-door, all-electric SUV that brings back the famous VR name for the electric age. In this full review we cover the Pininfarina design in pale Sage Green with a black roof, the screen-led cabin with its 15.6-inch touchscreen, the 57.7 kWh battery, the rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor GSR powertrains, the WLTP range figures, Australian local tuning, safety tech, warranty, and the honest pricing picture — including the answer on US availability. The ASX VR-e is designed in Italy by Pininfarina, built on a Foxtron platform from Taiwan, and tuned and tested for Australian roads by Mitsubishi. ASX stands for Active Sports Crossover, and VR-e nods to the legendary Galant VR-4, with the e standing for electrified. 📌 CHAPTERS 00:00 Intro — The VR Name Returns, Electric 00:40 Design, Sage Green & Black Roof 01:50 Size & Interior Technology 03:00 Battery, Charging & Range 04:20 Performance — RWD vs 342 kW GSR 05:30 Australian Tuning, Safety & Warranty 06:30 Prices & US Availability — Honest Answer 07:00 Verdict — Should You Buy One? 🔑 KEY SPECS — 2027 MITSUBISHI ASX VR-e Body: 5-door compact electric SUV/crossover Battery: 57.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP), all variants Charging: Up to 134 kW DC, 6.6 kW AC, 3.6 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L), 10-80% in about 30 minutes RWD (LS, Aspire, Exceed): 171 kW (about 229 hp) / 350 Nm (about 258 lb-ft), 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds AWD (GSR): 342 kW combined (about 459 hp) / 700 Nm (about 516 lb-ft), 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds WLTP range (New Zealand figures; Australian figures not yet confirmed): LS 403 km (about 250 miles), Aspire 398 km (about 247 miles), Exceed 380 km (about 236 miles), GSR 328 km (about 204 miles) Dimensions: 4,315 mm long (about 170 in), 1,885 mm wide (about 74 in), 1,535 mm tall (about 60 in), 2,800 mm wheelbase (about 110 in) Interior: 15.6-inch touchscreen, 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected services, over-the-air updates Higher trims: Panoramic glass roof, 20-inch two-tone wheels (Exceed), heated/ventilated seats, surround-view camera, 64-colour ambient lighting (Aspire+), 12-speaker SEAS sound (Exceed), GSR black leatherette/microsuede with blue stitching and two-tone black roof Warranty: 5-year/100,000 km vehicle (10-year/200,000 km if serviced in the Mitsubishi dealer network), battery 8-year/160,000 km Price: Australian pricing still to be confirmed — no Australian dollar price announced yet.
