A Magical Cruise in The Rain on the Shropshire Union Canal | Narrowboat Life

Experience the beauty of narrowboat life while cruising the Shropshire Union Canal through five locks in the rain. Join us for a peaceful journey from Goldstone Wharf to Market Drayton as we navigate the countryside on our floating home. This cruise captures the reality of life on the cut, documenting the slow rhythm of the waterways even when the weather turns. We guide you through the historic locks at Tyrley and share the quiet charm of the British canals, providing a look at our daily routine as we move from one mooring to the next. Whether you are a fellow boater or simply appreciate scenic canal cruising, this journey offers a moment of calm. We enjoy hearing your stories from the water, so let us know in the comments: what is the most beautiful stretch of canal you have ever cruised? Subscribe for weekly narrowboat life and canal travel vlogs. We are Paul & Anthony — we gave up our house to live full-time on our electric narrowboat and travel the rivers and canals of the British Isles. As seen on Channel 4's Narrow Escapes.New episode every Friday. How often do YOU fill up — and where's the best value fuel stop you've found on the cut? Tell us in the comments, we read every one.
