Hey everyone! 👋 Today we're making those famous cinnamon rolls that people usually pay way too much for at the mall. But this time we're making them at home, with simple ingredients, and the result is honestly shocking. These aren't just regular cinnamon rolls. We're talking soft, fluffy dough, caramel spiced filling, and a thick layer of silky cream cheese frosting on top. When I tell my friends these came out of a regular home kitchen, nobody believes me 😅 The secret comes down to three things: ✅ A proper sponge (don't skip this step!) ✅ Real quality butter ✅ Warm heavy cream before baking. This is what makes them unbelievably soft Make them with us, it's way easier than it looks! And your kitchen is going to smell absolutely incredible 🥰 📝 INGREDIENTS: For the sponge: Warm milk 250 g (1 cup) Sugar 80 g (1/3 cup) Yeast 8 g (2 1/4 tsp) Mix and let sit in a warm place for 30 to 40 minutes until foamy For the dough: (all ingredients at room temperature) Eggs 2 large Pinch of salt Vanilla 1.5 g (1/4 tsp) Butter 70 g (5 tbsp), softened Flour 530 to 550 g (4 to 4 1/3 cups) For the filling: Brown sugar 210 g (1 cup packed) Butter 90 g (6 tbsp), softened Cinnamon 15 g (2 tbsp) Heavy cream 30 to 33% 50 g (1/4 cup), cold, for pouring over the rolls For the frosting: Butter 50 g (3.5 tbsp), softened Cream cheese 100 g (3.5 oz) Heavy cream 130 g (1/2 cup), cold Powdered sugar 110 g (1 cup), start with 70 g and adjust to taste Vanilla 1 g (1/4 tsp) 👩‍🍳 THE PROCESS: 1. Make the sponge and wait for it to foam up. 2. Mix the soft dough, then let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled. 3. Roll it out, brush with butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. 4. Roll it up, cut into rolls, place in a baking dish. 5. Pour warm heavy cream over the rolls before baking. 6. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for exactly 25 minutes. 7. Whip up the frosting and generously spread it over the cooled rolls. 🔥 IMPORTANT TIPS: Don't add all the flour at once. The dough should stay soft. The heavy cream before baking is a must. Do not skip it! Frost the rolls only after they've cooled, otherwise it will melt. 💬 Have you ever tried making cinnamon rolls at home?
