I made a gown out of vintage ties and won a competition!

I spent the past six and a half months making this gown out of ties, it took me three months to source all 109 ties from second hand shops and three and a half months to unpick, iron, sew, make a toile, put the pattern together and finish this garment, all up the sewing and construction work took 237 hours. I entered this garment into Zero Waste Victoria's first ever 'ReWear Runway' and was one of the winners!! proving that amazing and innovative garments can be made from recycled and reused materials rather than brand new.
