The New Alura Research Platform for Etsy Sellers - FULL TUTORIAL PART 1

The old Alura is retired. Here's a full walkthrough of the new one. After a little break from YouTube, I'm back with the update Etsy sellers have been asking about. The old Alura platform is officially retired, and the new version runs as its own desktop app instead of in your browser. It looks a little different and can feel intimidating at first, but once you're inside, it's more familiar than you'd think. In this video, I walk through: Moving from the old platform to the new Alura app The new home screen and what's changed (AI analytics, team workspaces, redesigned navigation, Etsy ads controls) Tasks: a built-in to-do board so you can ditch the sticky notes Automations (still in beta) and why I'd think twice before letting AI edit your listings unsupervised Recreating custom listing views, like "Missing Video" and "Not Enough Images" A full listing optimization: photos, video, title, description, and tags Editing alt text for every photo without clicking through them one by one New editable fields: materials, categories, digital files, personalization, and pricing Customer filters for targeting repeat buyers, plus messaging (also in beta) My take: the alt text editor alone is worth the switch. The AI suggestions are useful, but they're a starting point, not the last word. Check its work, because AI makes mistakes. Coming next: the research tools, marketing, and analytics.
