Automotive Engineering team during the Classic Endurance Racing 1 race at the 2026 Dix Mille Tours of Le Castellet, organized by Peter Auto ! Starting from 2nd place, Claudio took the lead before losing it to Jan Magnussen. He was heading for the podium but gearbox problems forced him to finish 6th! ‪@peterautoracing‬ "Chassis: 917-029(014) One of the original 25 917s built, chassis 917-014 was first used in 917 K configuration by the John Wyer Automotive team. Sporting the ever striking Gulf colours, it placed second overall at the 1970 Daytona 24 Hours in the hands of Jo Siffert and Brian Redman. Together they also won the Spa 1000 km in chassis 917-014 before finishing second overall at the Watkins Glen 6 Hours. The following day, Siffert also raced the car in the Can-Am race where he placed second. Ahead of the 1971 season, the car was rebuilt using spare chassis 917-029, which, as was common practice in the day, assumed the identity of 917-014 for carnet reasons. Now known as 917-029, the chassis used in 1970 was set aside. It was later sold by Porsche to Freisinger, who in turn sold it to the Poirot family through Louis Meznarie in 1975. Not seen for many years, it was eventually restored to full running for a new owner by Freisinger in the early 2020s. In 2025, chassis 917-029(014) returned to the track with Jo Siffert’s son Philippe behind the wheel." Il s'agit de l'authentique Porsche 917 K châssis 917-014 dont voici l'historique : "Châssis : 917-029(014) L'un des 25 exemplaires originaux de la 917, le châssis 917-014 a d'abord été utilisé en configuration 917 K par l'écurie John Wyer Automotive. Arborant les couleurs Gulf toujours aussi remarquables, il a terminé deuxième au classement général des 24 Heures de Daytona 1970, piloté par Jo Siffert et Brian Redman. Ensemble, ils ont également remporté les 1000 km de Spa avec ce même châssis, avant de terminer deuxièmes aux 6 Heures de Watkins Glen. Le lendemain, Siffert a également piloté la voiture lors de la course Can-Am, où il a terminé deuxième.
