Set up a complete development environment for the first Macintosh models on Linux: the 68000 assembler toolchain mac68k-asm, the floppy disk tool mac68k-disk and the Mini vMac emulator compiled from source. Then we build a program, put it on a disk image, run it on an emulated Mac 128K, and turn the example into our own little program. Recorded on a Raspberry Pi 5 with a fresh Debian 13; works the same on any Debian/Ubuntu machine. 🔗 Links mac68k-asm (MIT): https://github.com/bircher988/mac68k-asm mac68k-disk (MIT): https://github.com/bircher988/mac68k-... The voice-over was generated with a text-to-speech model from a recording of my own voice. #retrocomputing #macintosh #68000 #assembly #linux #raspberrypi
