Mujtaba Khan & Raja Sajid, تنازعہ *Conflict* 26/10/2022

Pothwari Bait is an ancient folk singing tradition from the Potohar region of Pakistan, which dates back centuries and is a form of extemporaneous poetic duel, often called Bait Bazi. It is a competitive art form where two singers, usually at festivals or weddings, try to outsmart each other with improvised verses in response to a satire from their opponent, similar to a modern rap battle. The tradition is rooted in Pahari culture, which encompasses the hilly regions of northern Pakistan and India, and is a vibrant part of the local heritage.
