What we want to make very clear is that doing student ministry with middle school through high school doesn't mean you are doing BAD ministry...it doesn't mean that you CAN'T grow...it doesn't mean that you are a HORRIBLE student pastor and how dare you even think to combine them!! No. Not at all. In this episode, we will be talking about how combining middle school ministry (or junior high ministry) with high school ministry isn't IDEAL. It's not ideal for you, for the students or for the growth and health of the church overall. Again...the key word is: "ideal." This podcast is dedicated to seeing you winning. This podcast is here so that you can grow the size and health of your youth group. This podcast is available so that you can win more students for the Kingdom of God. With that said, we won't be holding anything back and we will always be giving you the best advice that we have. Okay, now that all of that is out of the way....don't kill us, but you need to seriously consider splitting your middle school and high school students into two separate ministries and we go over exactly why in this episode. 🔵 Recommended Episodes 🔵: ▶️ How to Do Youth Ministry at a Dying Church    • How to Do Youth Ministry at a Dying Church   ▶️ How to Balance Multiple Ministries in One Church    • How to Balance Leading Multiple Ministries...   ▶️ 5 Things That Can Hurt Your Youth Ministry's Growth    • 5 Things That Can Hurt Your Youth Ministry...   ▶️ Raising Up Leaders in Student Ministry - How to Duplicate Yourself!!!    • Raising Up Leaders in Student Ministry - H...   ======================================= 0:00 - INTRODUCTION 0:50 - ONE OF THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS WE GET ASKED 1:35 - MY OPINION ON THIS... 3:10 - COMBINING MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL IS NEVER IDEAL 4:19 - WHY IT'S A BAD IDEA TO COMBINE MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL IN YOUTH MINISTRY 4:31 - YOU CANNOT BE EXCELLENT AT BOTH 5:51 - MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS HAVE DIFFERENT NEEDS 11:52 - IT IS MORE DIFFICULT TO GROW 13:05 - HIGH SCHOOLERS DON'T WANT TO HANG OUT WITH MIDDLE SCHOOLERS 13:56 - PARENTS DON'T WANT HIGH SCHOOLERS HANGING OUT WITH MIDDLE SCHOOLERS 15:02 - DON'T PREVENT HIGH SCHOOLERS FROM BEING FED BY HAVING TO SERVE 17:43 - IF YOU TREAT YOUR CHURCH LIKE A SMALL CHURCH, YOU WILL STAY A SMALL CHURCH 27:29 - CAN YOU RAISE UP A TEAM TO LEAD ONE OF THE MINISTRIES? 29:31 - SEPARATE GAMES, SEPARATE MESSAGES, COMBINED WORSHIP 31:47 - HOW A COMBINED MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTRY CAN HURT YOUR OVERALL CHURCH GROWTH 36:07 - COMMUNITY COMMENT OF THE DAY ======================================= 📱 Subscribe and Listen to our 🎤 Student Ministry Podcast channel here: APPLE 🍎: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast...
