Challenge 9, South West Coast Path, Hartland to Bude, Sweet16 Summer Challenges, Children's Hospital

Welcome to Challenge 9 of my 'Sweet16 Summer Challenges' fundraiser for Kamran's Ward and the Oxford Children's Hospital. In this challenge I take on what is considered by many as the toughest section of coastline hiking in England - the stretch of the South West Coast Path between Hartland Quay and Bude. Background to my fundraiser On September 17 2025 our teenage daughter Amelia was diagnosed with Leukaemia, a type of blood cancer. The amazing team at the John Radcliffe Children’s Hospital were by our side in those first moments and have continued to provide the most wonderful care for Amelia ever since. I really want to show my gratitude and help fundraise for Kamran’s Ward and the Oxfordshire Children’s Hospital Charity, so this summer I am going to complete a series of 16 challenging physical activities that I am calling ‘'The Sweet16 Summer Challenges'.
