The TRUTH About Jaissle & Newcastle's Problems

Who's responsible for Newcastle United's problems? Is it Matthias Jaissle, Ross Wilson, the players, or does the blame go further back to Eddie Howe? On today's **Two for Joy**, we're taking a deep dive into Newcastle United's tactical problems, Jaissle's principles of vertical football, and the growing questions surrounding the direction of the club. ⚫⚪ *IN THIS VIDEO:* *Matthias Jaissle's system:* How Newcastle build from the back, progress up the pitch, and shape up in attack. *The tactical flaws:* Why Newcastle's current structure can leave gaps in midfield, expose the defence, and make the team vulnerable in transition. *Vertical football:* I like the ambition and attacking intent, but can Newcastle implement these principles without leaving themselves exposed? *Eddie Howe's legacy:* Have long contracts, player overuse, and squad management contributed to the situation Newcastle find themselves in today? *Ross Wilson and recruitment:* Are Newcastle bringing in the right players to build a team capable of executing Jaissle's system? *Aston Villa and Tottenham comparisons:* What can Newcastle learn from Unai Emery's established principles and Roberto De Zerbi's attempts to build a new identity at Tottenham? *Results versus performances:* Are Newcastle genuinely improving, or have positive results been masking fundamental problems? Coventry, Bournemouth and Aston Villa have all highlighted weaknesses that Newcastle need to address. The question isn't simply whether Jaissle's football is right or wrong. It's whether the system suits the players available, whether the team is learning, and whether we can see genuine progress from one game to the next. I'm not expecting miracles overnight. Rebuilding a squad and implementing a new style takes time. But I want to see evidence that the problems are being identified and corrected. *My question to you is simple: WHO'S RESPONSIBLE?* Is it Jaissle, Ross Wilson, Eddie Howe, the players, or a combination of all four? 👇 *GET INVOLVED IN THE COMMENTS* Let me know your thoughts.
