What started as a simple Facebook Marketplace delivery turned into an unexpected cycling adventure across North Wales! My original plan was straightforward: set off from my home in North Liverpool at 5am to Llandudno, deliver a set of bike tyres to their new owner in Rhyl, then continue along the coast to Llandudno Junction for the train home at 12:34. But as any cyclist doing YouTube knows, things don’t always go to plan… A route-syncing issue between Komoot and my Wahoo sent me off course, adding extra miles and with the delays owing to the complexities of filming, this forced a sudden rethink of the route. With the clock ticking and energy levels dropping, I had to make a last-minute decision to abandon the original finish and nominate an alternative, anticlimactic end to the ride. I also had camera mount, drone and microphone issues on this film, so I apologise for the sound and image quality issues you experience during the film. ☹️ However stick with it as I did see and experience some cool stuff! Join me as I cycle under River Mersey though thr Mersey Tunnel, ride through, the Wirral Peninsula to North Wales to complete a Facebook Marketplace handover by bike, and navigate the challenges of route planning when technology lets you down at the worst possible moment. If you enjoy cycling adventures, and real-world cycling mishaps, don’t forget to like, subscribe and hit the bell for more adventures from the North West and beyond.
