Remembrance A Day Never Forgotten

Remembrance — A Day Never Forgotten Eight Decades After the Longest Day Introduction “Remembrance — A Day Never Forgotten” is my tribute to the courage, sacrifice and humanity of those who landed on Normandy's shores on D-Day, 6 June 1944. Originally written as a linked tanka sequence, my poem has been transformed into a moving Welsh orchestral ballad, featuring powerful male vocals, a magnificent choir and stirring military brass. A reflection on the cost of freedom and our responsibility to remember those who never came home. AI Declaration Original poem and lyrics written by Paul Baldry (LongJohn). Musical adaptation and creative direction by Paul Baldry, with AI-assisted vocals, Welsh male-voice choir, orchestration and musical production created using Suno. The poetry, historical reflections and inspiration are my own.
