A Long Day as a Single Mom in Vietnam | 3 Kids, Work & Rain

What does an ordinary day look like for a single mom raising three daughters in Da Nang, Vietnam? Today, I take you through a busy day of my life — taking my daughter to school, delivering customer orders, shopping for food at a local market, doing laundry for customers, taking care of my family, and finding a simple $1 meal before my daughter goes to extra classes. During the rainy season, everything becomes a little more difficult. The rain makes traveling harder, clothes take longer to dry, and my laundry work becomes even busier. I spent 195,000 VND (about $7.45) buying food for our family for the next two days. And sometimes, after a long day of work, a simple bowl of Vietnamese fish cake noodle soup for about $1 is all we need. This is not a perfect life. It is simply our everyday life in Da Nang, Vietnam.
