24 December 2023 6:02pm These are still original from when the condominium was built. The motors use VVAC technology which allows for quicker levelling and a smoother acceleration and deceleration. The lifts have a speed of 1.75m/s. This condominium was the first condominium built by JTC (and possibly the only one), and it was originally meant for executives working in Jurong. Despite the condominium being 40 years old, not much upgrading has been done and the lifts are surprisingly original. The estate definitely still retains the old 70s/80s vibe! Unfortunately, this place is currently in the process of starting a collective sale (aka en bloc) attempt after the previous one failed, and if this attempt succeeds, the condominium will be demolished. Cherish the lifts here will they last. They’re likely the only ones in a JTC residential development to still be original.
