Thank You, Dave Herring – 2026 Eastern Sierra Winter Desert Photo Meetup

In February 2026, photographer ‪@davidherring‬ brought more than 40 photographers together for a winter desert meetup along California Highway 395 in the Eastern Sierra. Over three days we chased sunrises, storms, and blue hour across Lone Pine, Alabama Hills, Keeler, Randsburg, Ridgecrest, Red Rock Canyon, Fossil Falls, and a few hidden spots in between. This video is our way of saying thank you to Dave for pouring so much of himself into this community. His generosity, teaching, and care for everyone here turned “internet strangers” into friends and gave many of us one of the best creative experiences of our lives. We’re all incredibly grateful for the time, planning, and heart he put into making this happen.
