Mazda RX-8 vs RX-8 Wet Track Chase at Watkins Glen

Ride along in the #51 Mazda RX-8 as we mix it up with GRP.E in his #696 RX-8 during a wet track session at Watkins Glen International (WGI) at the October 2026 "Embers and Engines" track takeover event with Hooked on Driving (HOD). It's been nine years since i've been at the Glen with my white RX-8. The white car had more power, but more modest suspension tuning and 9-years older tire technology. WGI is pretty approachable in the wet; fairly decent grip AS LONG AS you stay off ALL painted surfaces, which are like ice. The Falken RT660+ honestly felt pretty decent in the wet. Breakaway was a tad abrupt but grip was good and I never felt anything approaching hydroplaning. DRY BATTLE COMING!
