We explored the monastery in daylight and saw the landscape that gives Lamayuru its famous Moonland name — a place that feels almost unreal. From there, the journey changed. The roads stretched towards Kargil. We stopped at the Kargil War Memorial, stood in silence, and remembered the stories of the soldiers who fought here. Then came the mountains, the dramatic roads, and the journey towards Zoji La. And finally... Kashmir. After days of barren mountains, high-altitude passes and endless roads, the landscape slowly began to turn green. Ladakh was behind us. Kashmir was ahead.
