CAPACITY BUILDING AS NCO'S GRADUATE AT PRISONS ACADEMY AND TRAINING SCHOOL ON DECEMBER 20TH 2023

Uganda Prisons Service (UPS) celebrated the pass-out ceremony of 285 Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) Intake 001, 2023 on December 20th 2023. The event, held at the Prisons Academy & Training School, marked a milestone for 141 Senior NCOs and 144 Junior NCOs who successfully completed rigorous training programs. The ceremony, presided over by Mr. Samuel Akena, Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons (speaking on behalf of the CGP), emphasized the alignment of UPS with the country's ideological orientation and strategic direction. He highlighted the crucial role entrusted to UPS in ensuring the nation's utmost security.
