Getting Started with OER Textbooks

Presenter: Nicole Westerdahl This session introduces resources and tools for finding, accessing, evaluating, and modifying free, high-quality, adaptable open education resources (OER) textbooks. We'll explore popular open textbook platforms, tools available for adapting and remixing texts, and how using AI to supplement OER materials works with Creative Commons licensing. You'll also learn about OER services offered by Penfield Library. This session is designed for AI/OER IITG grant participants but is open to any faculty or staff interested in OER textbooks.
