How much of an entire video game can you actually make inside another video game? ⏲ Video chapters ⏲ 0:00 Intro 0:34 Act 1 The Scratch connection 2:40 Act 2 The editors 5:07 Act 3 You can make your own stuff 8:40 Act 4 The scripting system 10:46 Act 5 How far can we take this? 13:12 Act 6 You may have seen this game before 16:10 Act 7 Making the game 17:52 Rebel Elite gameplay 27:08 Gameplay done 27:47 Act 8 Conclusion I recently discovered Ancient Warfare 3, and I genuinely cannot understand how more people aren't talking about it. At first glance, it might look like another AI battle simulator where you place armies down and watch them fight. But underneath that is an absurdly powerful collection of creation tools. You can create your own maps, units, weapons, armour, vehicles and objects. You can import custom 3D models made in Blender, control AI behaviour, create scripted events and objectives, add custom sound effects, voices and narration, and combine all of these systems to create entirely new experiences. The craziest part? Most people who have seen Ancient Warfare 3 have probably only seen the surface of what it can actually do. In this video, I take a deep dive into one of the most ridiculously customisable sandbox games I've ever played and explore just how far you can push it. Is Ancient Warfare 3 just an AI battle simulator? Or is it secretly one of the most powerful game creation tools hiding in plain sight? #AncientWarfare3 #Gaming #SandboxGames #GameDevelopment #Blender
