Range Road Nine – Andrea McRae Listen on your favorite streaming platform: https://release.landr.com/range_road_... Some roads feel different after dark. “Range Road Nine” opens Halloween on the Gravel Roads with a trip down an empty Alberta backroad where the fields go quiet, the lights get scarce, and not everything waiting beyond the headlights needs an explanation. Dark Country and Americana with a Halloween edge — spooky without leaving the backroads behind. Lyrics Empty house on Range Road Nine, Boarded windows, sagging fence line. Folks say it burned in ’82, Still that porch light burns cold blue. Noah said, “You knock.” Nobody moved. So I stepped onto the porch With something left to prove. Trick or treat on Range Road Nine, Blue light through the lodgepole pines. Three hard knocks, no voice inside, Candy bowl by the doorway side. Took one each and ran that night From the light on Range Road Nine. Monday morning, Noah’s dad Heard our story, looked real bad. Drove us back through November gray— Only blackened stones remained. Noah didn’t say a word. Neither did I. But the wrapper in my pocket Said we hadn’t lied. Trick or treat on Range Road Nine, Blue light through the lodgepole pines. Three hard knocks, no voice inside, Candy bowl by the doorway side. Took one each and ran that night From the light on Range Road Nine. All these years and I still see That blue light where no house should be. No scream, no monster, nothing at all— Just a door where there was no wall. Trick or treat on Range Road Nine, Blue light through the lodgepole pines. Three hard knocks where no door should stand, Old candy wrapper in my hand. All these years and I still drive by But never turn on Range Road Nine. 🌐 https://andreamcrae.com 📸   / andreamcraeofficial   𝕏 https://x.com/AndreaMcraeCA 🎧 https://open.spotify.com/intl-de/arti... ▶️    • Country Crossroads Americana   #AndreaMcRae #RangeRoadNine #HalloweenOnTheGravelRoads #CountryMusic #Americana #DarkCountry #halloween
