Scientists Finally Found Florida's New Predator — And It's Swallowing Pythons Whole

Scientists Finally Found Florida's New Predator — And It's Swallowing Pythons Whole Burmese pythons have taken over the Everglades, and scientists finally found a native predator that swallows the babies whole. In this video, you'll meet the indigo snake, the longest native snake in the United States, and see how radio tracking baby pythons led researchers to it. You'll learn how the indigo hunts without venom or constriction, why it can only take young pythons and why that still matters, and which other native animals are starting to fight back. You'll also discover why the indigo is threatened itself, how a breeding program is bringing it back, and why its comeback may put it right in the pythons' path. #BurmesePython #IndigoSnake #Everglades #InvasiveSpecies #FloridaWildlife #wildlifedocumentary Burmese python, indigo snake, eastern indigo snake, Gulf Coast indigo snake, Florida pythons, Everglades pythons, pythons in Florida, python invasion, invasive species Florida, snake eats python, indigo snake eats python, native predators, Everglades National Park, Florida wildlife, gopher tortoise, cottonmouth eats python, Florida Python Challenge, scout snake, radio tracking pythons, snake documentary, wildlife documentary
