Jesse Lee - [New Single] Gravity of the Abyss | Concept EP [Symphony of the Shattered] 01

The narrative of this track is deeply inspired by Kevin Reynolds’ 2002 film “The Count of Monte Cristo”. It draws its motif from the moment the protagonist, Edmond Dantès, is betrayed by those he trusted most, stripped of his name and future, and thrown into the notorious prison of Château d'If. The song captures the profound isolation and the sensation of endlessly falling into an abyss as the world's moral order shatters, all expressed through a haunting dark alternative rock sound. [Lyrics] [Verse 1] Trusted ground turns to dust Golden sun fades to rust Fortress walls, broken glass Shadows watch me as I pass [Pre-Chorus] No one calls my name An empty, hollow plea In this lightless cage Gravity abandons me [Chorus] Falling down To the dark abyss A starless sea Sealed with a kiss Shattered waves Swallow me whole I lost my anchor I lost my soul Spiraling down this endless flight [Short Instrumental Break] [Verse 2] Friendly voices, now just ghosts Losing what I loved the most Time is frozen, cold and blind Only shadows left behind [Bridge] Bleeding hands on broken glass Praying for this night to pass What is waiting deep below? In the crushing dark below? [Chorus] Falling down To the dark abyss A starless sea Sealed with a kiss Shattered waves Swallow me whole I lost my anchor I lost my soul Spiraling down this endless flight [Outro] Falling down... No floor below... The dark takes me now...
