MIKLOS ROZSA - 'SAHARA' CONCERT SUITE (BOGART)

Celebrated Hungarian Composer MIKLOS ROZSA composed this orchestral suite based on his 1943 classic wartime film score for 'Sahara' starring Humphrey Bogart. Rozsa evokes the desert with brassy dissonances and modernity, but tempered by a warm and sensual Romanticism. The performance here was live, 1986, from an Erich Kunzel filmworks concert, the Meadow Brook Music Festival, August 15-16, 1986, sponsored by Oakland University in Michigan.
