Verse 1] In a time of conflict, displacement and need, We join to make an impact, And spread forth good seeds. [Verse 2] Seeds of goodness and service, Of faith and hope into this world; Here we unite in purpose, As peacemakers doing God's work. [Chorus] Shalom, Salam, and Shanti, May every refugee be welcome. May every clinic open wide, For a better world to become. [Verse 3] Through coordinated effort, As God's children, we spread His good news; As Buddhists, Hindus and Sikhs, As Muslims, Christians and Jews. [Verse 4] For religious freedom, we meet, With resilient hope in the future, Where children have enough to eat, And sleep in peace, freed from those who injure. [Bridge] In Hebrew, peace is Shalom: Wholeness, well-being, harmony. Muslims greet with Salam; Hindus close with deep inner peace, Shanti.
