Manteca wins first-ever state title

The Manteca boys basketball team beat Chino Hills-Ayala 60-51 in the CIF State Division III championship game Thursday at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento. It's Manteca's first state boys hoops title, as a program and as a city, and the first public school program from San Joaquin County to win a boys basketball state crown since now-closed Stockton High did it in 1928.
