Cyclamen | Songs for the Only Flower You Have to Look After (63 min) 63 minutes watching a potted cyclamen on a windowsill, from inside, through the winter. This is the only record in the flower series that never goes outdoors. The osmanthus, the chrysanthemums, the gentians and the sasanqua all bloomed and fell on their own. Cyclamen does not. You move the pot into the light, water it from below, pinch off the spent flowers and keep it away from the heater. It is the first flower in the series that dies if you leave it alone. Long after everything outside has finished, this one pot is still flowering in March. These ten songs follow that winter. Instrumental, with no vocals. Felt piano and Rhodes piano over a warm bass outline, no percussion. Ten tracks at 54 to 76 BPM, played through twice. Good for desk work, study, reading, or a quiet evening indoors. ────────────────────────────── TRACKLIST ────────────────────────────── 0:00 1. Moving the Pot into the Light 2:53 2.
