What does New York's Financial District actually look like when the offices break for lunch?
A 46-minute walk through Lower Manhattan on a weekday midday — from the Stock Exchange and Federal Hall, down Broadway past the food truck row, through Zuccotti Park, across the plazas on Liberty Street opposite the Federal Reserve, down Stone Street where the whole block turns into one long outdoor dining room, and back up Wall Street.
Some of it is exactly what you expect: shirts and coffee cups at the crossings, teams eating together at communal tables, queues at the halal carts. Some of it is not: half-empty plazas between the towers, scaffolding tunnels with nobody in them, and a twenty-minute queue outside the Exchange that turns out to be for a statue.
No cuts, no music, no narration. Just footsteps, traffic and the city at its busiest hour.
Recorded in 4K.
