I make films about slow living. So it's a little embarrassing to admit — but this summer, slow tipped into stuck. You can only heat your shower water on a wood stove for so long before you need to step out, plug back into the world, and remember what a little noise feels like. So the pups and I ran away to Stockholm for two days of not-so-slow living. We wandered Gamla Stan and SoFo, found an English bookstore full of every idea under the sun, drank coffee in cafés where dogs are welcome absolutely everywhere, and I let the energy of the city fill me right back up — the artists, the design, the ordinary beautiful bustle of people living their lives. And here's what I figured out: I don't think you have to choose between the quiet and the city. I crave one, and then I need a little of the other. This was my little of the other. Then we drove home to the forest, stopped at our lake for a sunset swim, and I was so happy I went — and even happier to be home. Thank you for coming along on this one. 🌲 📍 Stockholm → Sweden 🐾 with Fyn & Garbo If this is your kind of wandering, subscribe and stay a while.
