🏛️ Christ Church, Oxford | Before Methodism Became a Movement ✝️ What if the person you’re becoming is more important than the person everyone sees today? Standing at Christ Church, Oxford, there’s a remarkable piece of Methodist history here: both John and Charles Wesley studied at Christ Church and were ordained in this very cathedral. They couldn’t have known what would follow—the Holy Club, field preaching, societies, and eventually a worldwide Methodist movement. There’s something powerful about standing where part of that story began. Great movements often begin quietly, long before anyone realizes they’re witnessing history. #JohnWesley #ChristChurchOxford #MethodistHistory #UMC #UnitedMethodistChurch #WesleyHeritage
