The future of CO2-free local transport, the FLIRT Akku, has been presented at InnoTrans 2024. This battery-electric version of the popular FLIRT for Deutsche Bahn and ZÖPNV Süd will soon operate on the Palatinate network, replacing diesel vehicles on non-electrified lines. With a range of at least 80 km in battery mode, smooth air-sprung running gear and an XL carbody with space for 325 passengers, the FLIRT Akku offers a sustainable, comfortable travel experience.
