How do people live where the air runs out? Nepal is a country raised from the bottom of an ancient ocean, home to eight of the ten highest mountains on Earth, and to people who thrive where most of us could barely breathe.
In this documentary, we journey from the summit of Everest down to the tiger-filled jungles of Chitwan. Along the way: fossils of sea creatures near the top of the world, thousands of mysterious caves carved into the cliffs of Mustang, a legend about a drained lake that geologists proved true, and the ancient tree roots discovered beneath the birthplace of the Buddha.
